This bar is keeping me from mounting my turbo how important is it?

i dont see how they add THAT much strength. ive replaced both of mine due to bending (bottoming out)...they arent really that strong. i would say they arent 100% necessary but gm wouldnt put them there for no reason...

I'm thinking it would really suck to bottom out on your turbo.

99-00 experience frame flex, and this was GMs fix, so it'd be no different then driving sa 99-00

well none of the 4wd had, or needed them due to the frame being slightly different. so 99-00 2wd and 99-07 4wd didn't have them only 01+ 2wd have them.

Personally I would keep them, but I would make a custom one to work with my turbo set up. Thats just me
