Don't hammer it. You'll break the front pump if you haven't already. When you were seating the yank, did it kind of seat real fast or were you real gentle with it. If you just slammed it on there or it slipped, then you might of hit the front pump and cracked it causing it to be hard to turn.

i let my Yank sit with trans fluid in it for a few mintues before i seated it... it went on first try.
And the stocker would just fall in to place...
I hope you get this figured out...
PUll the TC off and look really close at everything just to be on the safe side.
The first TC i got was from PTC, it was a 2900 stall 10.5" and it wouldnt ever go on... come to find out it was for a 700R4 not a 60E...

also check the input shafts, make sure they installed the correct input shaft for your converter, Ron had one that was supposed to be for his truck, but the input shaft was different.

no the converter is right. Like I said, it spins fine on my stock tranny.
I really hope I didn't crack the pump but I don't think that's the issue. It wouldn't turn easy from the very beginning when I first tried to seat the converter.
The update though is that I had the bitch towed to a tranny shop. It was a mile away from my house so the towing was free. I just told him to fix the bitch. Basically the problem is that with my hand, I can't do **** working on it, and I don't have anybody to help me.
Hopefully he'll keep the cost under $500 and everything will be fine.

Do you have a buillit input shaft? The splines are VERY tight and need to be sand blated and wire wheeled to get them to fit right. Also, It could be in the pump bushing. If its not installed strait it may bind also.
