If you can get a local built tranny with a warranty, I say go for it.
I have seen quite a few threads and posts about performabuilt and finish line trans not holding up. Not saying that they're junk, just saying they're by no means bullet proof.
This shop will also give me a 3 month warranty if they installed it.

3 month warranty? screw that. for decent money you can get a performabuilt with a 2 year warranty (if you get their converter, 1 year if you dont).

I don't like his build list.

Side note: what in the world is a advanced check valve....

If you are in the Dallas area I would definitely give Greg @ Phoenix Transmissions over in Weatherford a call. This guy does top notch work for sure, and has a great reputation in the TBSS community. I'm not sure what he will charge for a build on a 60e, but when you get a 2 year warranty with a local guy, it's worth it to pay a little extra. *Non Sponsor Contact Info Removed* Please keep non sponsor info to PM's

Although your post is going to be edited for posting non sponsor contact information, I have also heard good things about Pheonix trans.

I'm not sold on his list or the 3 month warranty. You should at least get a 1 year/12k out of it.

Yeah his list kind of bugs me also. It doesn't seem like a whole lot for 975$.
I'll see if I can't get a better list and a longer warranty if I use him.

X2

The 4L60E is about as basic as it gets for an Automatic. With an experienced builder and the right parts you will be good.
