How can I tell if I have a factory trans. cooler?

If you have lines running to the rad it doesn't mean there would be no hd cooler up front. It's in series after the rad in stock form as far as i know. So it goes- trans to integral radcooler to hd cooler and back to trans. With no hd cooler it goes trans to integ. rad cooler and back to trans.
Secondly i don't understand why everyone is into bypassing the factory rad cooler in conjuntion with an aftermarket or hd cooler. There is no benefit to this that i can see other than one less line. My examplar reasoning for this lies here: Flashing or stalling out your high stall tc at say a light creates alot of heat, temps likely skyrocketing into the 250+s from the verter. Some of this heat can be removed at jw tempurature via the primary rad cooler. This integral fluid to fluid cooler is far more efficient at temp drop for its size even at 190f than say an air to fluid cooler of double the size out front. However, I still don't disagree with utilizing this to further importantly reduce temps. I run the stock fluid routing, as well as what i would consider a very minimaly sized auxillary cooler, and have no problems with keeping trans oil temps under 200F streeting the truck with a 3000 stall.
This must be just more personal preference, because there seems to lack reason for deleting it imo.
