If you dont trust the work i wouldnt run it, because its gonna be a really great deal when it lets go and takes the trans tail housing or your gears with it..

Jesus, either you got fucked hardcore, or I got lucky with mine. I gave my measurements to the shop, picked up the shaft a week later, dropped it in and started driving.

Is there any sort of warranty on this thing just in case it croaks on you?

I doubt it. Well so far I've done a couple powerbrakes and a couples sprints up to 120. No noticable vibrations. Who knows on a dyno 140+ pull though. The 120 gives me a green card pass to go the 1/4 though...Shimmy

played that game once and got a short driveshaft. I take a yellow grease pen and write the length on them now.

I'm having one built right now at a new to me shop and the guy is supplying the core, he wanted very specific measurements and we did it over the phone. I wanted to draw a pic and fax it but he doesn't have a fax. so we'll see...

Driveshaft shops seem to be hit and miss.

Most the time if you don't give them center of ju joint to center of ju joint they WILL **** it up... About all you can do now is move the rearend forward. Which helps traction but is a PIA.

If it were me they'd be calling up DSS and replacing my nice one they screwed up with a nice one that fits right... No way I'd let them be responsible for the only link that holds the front and rear of my drivetrain together if they can't read simple measurements that they request. Sorry to hear this bro... This is probably one of those things I'd take to the next step to make them fix.... Put legal heat on them since you've got some documentation and make them replace the aluminum shaft IMO... All it normally takes is a letter from your lawyer and they'll make it right...

I am very happy with my shaft from Denny's. I got the shaft and high yokes so if there was a problem they couldn't say it was on my end. You shouldn't have all of your money invested, and end up walking out with a lesser quality shaft.
