I would worry more about putting a trans cooler on it, then wrapping the lines.

I used to have the big heat prob, but then I switched over to a big cooler, never see above 120.. My lines also are very close to the headers, as is everybody else's. I don't think 180 is anything to worry about, but a big cooler def wouldn't hurt..

Heat kills things, so yeah cooler is always better. I'm gonna get a shift kit too, so hopefully that will help the tranny as well. I hate it when things break, and being stranded. I'm the type of guy that will do things to ensure things won't go wrong, if I can help it anyway.

i have the same problem the trans temp is between 190 and 195 F

but its so hot here 120f + and summer just started so its going to be more than 125F starting next month

i will wrap it with any thing for heat also i have the tru cool 40k gvw cooler that will go in next week

i was going to ask about the problem but thanks guys i found this thread

Same here with me haha..ive had numerous ppl ask me if it was an intercooler haha
