Help with th400 Swap
I'm gonna be helpin a buddy do a th400 Swap on his 04 Regular Cab SB, Just need some help along the way.
We already got the FTI th400 and a LS Specific Converter so as far as getting this to mount up all we have to do is make a crossmember correct?
I havent found out much about the differences in the Flexplates, what is all that about?
I know the Driveshaft will have to be shortened and all that jaz
(I think we got it covered)
How long of a Dipstick Tube is used?
And what about the Speedo?
I read something about the Speed Sensor from a 3L80 (PN8655291, 8655315) and a Connector (PN12085498)
If there is anything I left out that I'll need to know? Thanks!

I have done the swap and here is a list of stuff that I done that might help.
TCI flexplate has the bolt pattern and adapter to run old school converter.
I ordered my tranny with speed sensor installed, you can call any of the tranny sponsers and I am sure they will give you the part numbers for that.
I welded a plate on the back of my crossmember for the mount and just picked up a energy suspension tranny mount from autozone.
Used a Lokar dipstick.
Local driveline shop to shorten the driveshaft.
B&M ratchet shifter
Thats about it.
