Arrow Help with th400 Swap

I'm gonna be helpin a buddy do a th400 Swap on his 04 Regular Cab SB, Just need some help along the way.

We already got the FTI th400 and a LS Specific Converter so as far as getting this to mount up all we have to do is make a crossmember correct?

I havent found out much about the differences in the Flexplates, what is all that about?

I know the Driveshaft will have to be shortened and all that jaz
(I think we got it covered)

How long of a Dipstick Tube is used?

And what about the Speedo?
I read something about the Speed Sensor from a 3L80 (PN8655291, 8655315) and a Connector (PN12085498)

If there is anything I left out that I'll need to know? Thanks!

You can try those speed sensor adaptors, I've used the Dakota Digital pulse generator and the front wheel speed sensor before in th350/400 swaps.

Lokar makes a flex dipstick that will work out well.

What are you using for a converter? You might be able to get the converter made to match up with your flexplate. I'm not sure if a regular flexplate will work.

I have done the swap and here is a list of stuff that I done that might help.

TCI flexplate has the bolt pattern and adapter to run old school converter.
I ordered my tranny with speed sensor installed, you can call any of the tranny sponsers and I am sure they will give you the part numbers for that.
I welded a plate on the back of my crossmember for the mount and just picked up a energy suspension tranny mount from autozone.
Used a Lokar dipstick.
Local driveline shop to shorten the driveshaft.
B&M ratchet shifter
Thats about it.
