HELP! Technical Advice Needed for C-Notch Issue
#1
Ok, so I'm in the process of cutting my frame for my DJM c-notch. However, I noticed this raised area on the frame that will prevent my c-notch from installing flush against the rail. See pics. Note: the fine line tape will be the c-notch cut out.
Anybody else seen this on their c-notch installation (btw.. truck is a 99 rcsb)?
Will I be ok cutting out all of the raised areas so the c-notch will fit flush? Seems like it will be a huge opening or should I try and mount the c-notches on the inside of the rail. Surely, I'm not the only one that has this type of frame. Thanks in advance for the help.
I posted on FSC this morning, but no responses.

I think I finally found the problem. I sent Tony (aka Norcal SS over at TBSSOWNERS.com) a note. He knew right away I have the rare 5" frame. Apparently, some 99-00 trucks have this frame rail. Solution is a Belltech c-notch made especially for this frame rail.
