Default Help! Stuck out of first???

I have an FLT5 4L65e. I am stuck out of first. Is this computer issues or other?
It has done this once before but went into first when I came back to a stop and put it in park then back to drive. Now it just starts off in second and will not manually shift to first either!!??

Did you call FLT?

Could be the Neutral Switch on the side of the trans. Are the plugs in all the way where the boots aren't sticking out?

Does your indicator on the dash have a line below the gear you actually have the shifter in?

Then It's likely the switch.
Mine would put a line under P, D, 3 but not 2 or 1. After keying on P would have the line and after a few seconds it would go away and would not start because it thought it was no longer in P. R would show up after a few seconds so I would have to wait until it lit up before my Reverse lights would come on.
Make sure the plugs are all the way in. You may want to put a heat tip on a torch and heat them up a lil to push them in. The sticky stuff they put on them works better when warm.

Edit: After thinking about it. I never really had any shifting issues. So it may not be the switch. I'd still check it tho.

Do the rest of the gears work fine?

Was curious and have been doing some googling. Could be the PCm not commanding first or The spring for the 1-2 shift valve is broken
