I'd get the vette servos personally... the weight of your truck will soak up a lot though.. if you want to drop the cash then maybe the sonnax's are for you

FLT will tell me to use the Vette servos because that's what they use.
Zippy of course will tell me the same thing because that's what he uses.
Just needed an exterior opinion on this.
I will be buying from one of them, just not sure which one yet.

Hey Jim,
I see what your saying about wanting an exterior opinion. Yes I do use the vette servo as a standard for our rebuilts. We do offer the sonnax 2nd servo as a upgrade. It works well with the use of the stock springs to reduce or eliminate the abuse of a solid billet second servo. I have built with the superior second servo and saw issues with breaking bands and also clunks when coasting to a stop. Sometimes even breaking the clips for the billet servo. I only use what we test and prove. As a transmission builder we are always looking to build a better animal however when I see a repeated issue, it is time to find a better solution. I know alot of good builders that agree with me on this topic and have also changed their ways for similar issues. If you have your heart set on a soild billet 2nd servo I will sell it however I don't suggest it and don't stock it except for the ones that I remove and scrap. Good luck to you. If you have any questions feel free to call me anytime. Vince.

I recently purchased a vette servo and a superior 4th servo.I've read this is a good mix.My truck is a 03 4x4 ext. cab. 4.8 with electronic 4 spd.trans.the vette servo is from oregon trans. pretty standard, the 4th is "The 4L60/4L60E SUPER SERVO" part # K034,how will this affect the OD when it shifts ?Is'nt there a servo specifically for the OD shift ?

I recently installed a billet 2nd and 4th servos. I believe I will be changing the 2nd servo to a vette servo. This is due to the fact that when it shifts from 1st to 2nd it feels as if the trans and rear is going to rip apart. Would say go with vette 2nd and billet 4th servos. IMO
