Hmmm, my trans does almost exactly what you're describing except mine down shifts really hard sometimes. Once from 50 mph it acted like it was going to downshift into 2nd then hit the rev limiter and shifted into third. I've played with the tuning some and added some TM back in (mainly just a little reduction in the shifts) and its been a lot better; just really sloppy. I've never considered sensors being the problem.

put another throttle position sensor in there and everything is back to normal. i guess it wasnt downshifting good enough and shifting early because it thought it was only getting 80% throttle or so. the funny thing is i beat up on another silverado yesterday morning with my truck acting up. it was a slammed rcsb 5.3 with a hood and 327 proudly displayed on the side of the cowel hahahahaha.

hm, might have to try that sensor out. what was the price on it? also, could this have anything to do with why my speedo is still 5mph off even after 2 tunes? (gear ratio /tire size correctly input as well)

will do. im about to punish your transmission even more with about 180 more ponies to the ground and more traction
