Default Help deciding on a torque converter for the 6l80 all advice and info lets hear it

So I just bought ssnovas stroked 404 heads an cam for '10 cc not real sure what intake setup I'll be running just yet but plan on going turbo in the future and not sure if I'm going to stick with the 3.42s or step up gears and I'll still do some minor towing once in a blue moon anyway what converter do you guys think are good for the 6l80 an will be a good fit for the stroker an future turbo I want to buy one time an one time only unless it gives out one day is the only reason I want to have to make any new purchases. I'm not to worried about what stall speed just yet I'll decide on that wants I get the first dyno tune done so I can see where the powers at

You will need a good billet converter that is fairly tight.

Does Yank make one for your trans? A PT 2800 would likely do pretty well. It will be too tight for 100% optimal performance NA, but it will still perform OK. Once you add boost should flash high enough to help spool times and hit pretty hard without "blowing through" your power curve.

I just bought a circle d for my 4l80e. They have many happy customers.

Ive heard good things about circle d but right now 1200 for the triple disc I need is a little rich for my blood after buying the motor and from what I've seen I think I can get a yank triple disc for around 9 but my big hopes are that one of the companies will either make me a deal i can't refuse or will have a decent sale on converters soon that'll help me out

I noticed you sent in an "Ask Chris" with your info...thanks. I know our multi sounds expensive, but I believe the best value. Proudly put our multi disk up against any other converter. Let us know if we can help further...

I decided I will be going with one of your multidisc converters when the money presents itself, after all the the good things I've read and support I've got from the other guys on yalls converters and especially because out of all three companies I contacted with questions you guys were the only ones to reply back to me and your also just across the state from me. If y'all guys would be willing to send me some tips on tuning the 6l80 to give my tuner to insure a good setup when I get the motor swapped in a few weeks I'd greatly appreciate it

I think you made a wise choice...and ready when you are. Tune wise the most important is to zero out the desired slip tables in the TCC settings. Other settings are personal preference. Be happy to talk to your tuner if he needs any help.
