Help again! Maybe? Torque converter ???

OK, so here's the deal: I just slapped in a vette servo, hd2 shift kit and a circle D 2600-2800 converter. I took it do a spin and was at first happy and relieved that the truck moved under it's own power. It definitely felt looser with the stall as could be expected. My concern is that the shifts don't feel nearly as snappy as I expected. I'm d
Not really barking the tires. ( maybe that's too much to expect with 3.23s). And last, what really concerns me is hat when I'm cruising on the freeway, my RPMs are about 750 higher than usual. Am I experiencing excess slippage or is my overdrive not functioning? Is this normal ?
Thanks again for everyone's experience here.

When you are cruising along if you give it a little more throttle quickly, do the rpms move up without the truck accelerating or do they not move at all? If it jumps it means the torque converter isnt locking.

Well it depends...it could be as simple as the fluid isnt warming up enough to lock, or the TCC solenoid is bad, maybe there is a misfire detection, possibly or the converter itself is bad. It would be hard to tell without a log of whats going on.

As my luck would have it, I wound up shattering my finger and have not yet had the chance to fiddle with the truck yet. sucks! I did plug in my scanner and no codes came up while it was idling in my driveway. How will I be able to tell the difference between a burnt up converyer or the TCC assembly or some other malady? I also haven't installed the tuned PCM yet as I can't get a crank relearn yet. what are the chances the tune will solve this?

That sucks man. You need to scan for the TCC solenoid. If the truck is commanding lockup and its not happening, then its either the solenoid itself or the clutch in the converter. If its never commanding lockup its something in the tune.
