Help with 2003 1500, clutch bleed? maybe?
#1
So the tranny went out in my roommates 1500, We changed it and put a center force clutch in. It worked great for the first 200 miles. than it started grinding going in to third, than 4th, and now 5th too. but sitting still with the clutch down, it goes right in first. Now i thought maybe the clutch needed some work, but i cant see anywhere to do that. SO any help would be great.
Thanks

what kind of clutch?
did you replace any of the hydrualic componets?
after my trans swap and clutch swap i changed out the master and slave cylinders. also make sure you have a good bleed on the slave. that should solve your issuses.

on mine i had the trans down and the slave detattched from the trans. i used a pair of quick clamps to hold it closed and then had a buddy put pressure on the clutch pedal. i opened the bleeder and then closed it before his foot hit the floor. how many miles are on the truck when you guys changed the clutch? if its anything over 50,000 miles i would recommend changing atleast the slave, if you have the funds i would change the master as well, but thats just my $.02.
