Default heavy load, Best way to Upgrade rear Springs?

Hey peeps, have a 2002 Z71 Sierra, ext cab. Tuned my truck with HP tuners and going to be using my truck on a few long trips. For the trips, recently purchased a 1500 lb truck Camper which maxes out the rear springs on larger bumps. Above that , i'll probably be carrying around about 500 lb of luggage, equipment, etc. Truck will clearly need more support in the back. So, what is the best way to upgrade my springs? Will 2500/3500 series springs fit easily? Heavier duty aftermarket springs available somewhere? Air bags support?

Whatever works! Thanks.

I would recommend the load assist air bags so you can adjust the need support based on load. I ran the AirLift brand helper bags on my truck for years with good results. I now have the coil spring type bags on my Tahoe that work just as well.

Yes, you can bolt in a leaf pack from a 2500/3500 series truck if you want to. I'd recommend air bags though. For a few hundred dollars, you will have adjustability & better ride when empty.

I put these Air Lift bags on mine. They work very well. When Im done towing or hauling I adjust the air down to 10psi and you can't tell they are there! A 2 hour install.
