Default 04 gmc single cab flip kit

HI im new but just need sum second opinions on things. i have an 04 gmc single cab swb and am doing a flip kit in the back i currently have shackles but am going to take them off once i do my flip kit but i m wondering if i could get away with doing the flip kit and no c notch and just replace the bump stops.

No.the c notch allows for the suspension travel. Even with going with a short bump stop you'll either be sitting on it or really close to it. I have a flip kit on mine , putting in the c notch isn't hard and doesnt take that long to do. Just buy a good drill bit for the holes and when you cut for the notch round the corners. Helps prevent the frame from ever cracking where the cuts meet.
