Default Has anyone here installed pinion angle shims?

I just ordered a set of drop shackles and pinion angle shims for my truck. I have done the shackles before, but have never heard how you actually put in the shims.

I assume that you just loosen the U-bolts that attach the spring to the axlle and slide them in, but wanted to check first.

I'm going to test drive the truck with the shackles before messing with the shims as I have read that some people get vibration and others do not.

Thanks

Unless you have a flip kit, then it is opposite.
