they can if there not stiff enough , but with the bags you cna set the pressure and find a sweeet spot . my buddys s-10 was 30 psi . also i heard and dont hold this to me , the lower leafs arent as strong as factory meaning with a 6,000 load they might snap but thats what i heard

ok, so go with the leafs. Here is the plan:
Leafs for the ease of install and handling,
Airbags for towing/bed weight
Traction bars for the wheel hop.

ya it would wok . but are the leaf springs rated to handle the weight of the stock ones ?

On the rear of my truck i'm running Bel-tech Shackles 2in. and Bel-Tech Leafs for the other 2in it ended up dropping about 5in. after it was all finished. It rode pretty stiff until I put Toxic Drop Shocks on it and C-Notched my frame. Now I can't tow all that much but it rides and handles great.
