Went to go drive it and it doesnt have 2nd gear.. What do yall think it is ??

 

Did you have it out to rebuild it or is it a new tranny?

 

I'll take a wild guess and say torn 2nd servo seal.

 

That is what I was guessing because it goes straight passed 2nd and go to 3rd.. It works great in 1,3,&OD , but no matter what I do it doesnt go into 2nd ..

It is a rebuild with goodies in it ..

Yeah, I already did.. He is suppost to be coming out here to fix it .. What all is involved with fixing that ??

 

He will have to remove the 4th/2nd servo assembly. Then replace the torn teflon seal if in fact that is what the problem is.

 

He said hw might have forgot to put a certain 1-2 Shift Spring back in ??? I hate not knowing **** about this trucks ..

 

Well, he didnt forget to put the springs in, but it was stuck for some reason. he also put a shim in the servo on the side of the tranny.. It shift into second now, but it feels like it is slipping and it doesnt want to down shift into 2nd.. The thing that worries me most is that my truck wont manual shift into 2nd if I put the shifter into 2nd.. It works in ever gear great, but just has issues downshifting into send manually or not ..

 

Did he work on the valve body or the servo?
