Was going to attempt the 6L80 swap but the stand alone controller won't be out until Summer. Was suppose to be out at the end of the year. My build will be done by then.

Is there a stand alone that will run a 4L80E in place of a 6L80E? I'm going to have to pull the 6 out due to it's HP limitations.

PCS and others make standalone controllers for the 4L80E. Have you considered swapping the 6L80E for the 6L90E? The 6L90 is rated at over 500 ft lbs which is considerably more than the 4L80E. That way you would still have the benefit of the closer gear spacing and can use all your stock wiring/controllers. And by the time if and when you blow up the 6L90 there will be shops actually working on them.

I would really like to have a 6L90E. Not sure if it would support a 6.2 -> 427 with a 3.3L Whipple. Ultimately a built 90 would be awsome, but in the meantime, I think I'll need the built 4L80E. Don't you think?
