chapita, I would not go anywhere lower than a 30"tire with 4.10's especially if its your daily driver.... pm v8, I forgot what size he has on his and he gets real good gas mileage with his 4.10's...

no its not my dd but i will be running that 275/50-17 which according to a fellow tuner(rgvsierra) is a 27" tall tire and thats why i am asking on either the 3.73 or 3.90 or to just stay with my current gears 3.42's

I highly suggest the 4.10's but with some bigger tires for the street, then you can get you some e/t's for the track....

i really dont wanna go bigger than a 28" tall tire cause i will be doing a pretty modest drop and i really like the way the 05 stocker 17's look on the nitto 275/50-r17 with a 3/5 drop it just looks killer ,so do you guys think that with a 27" tire and a 3.90 gear it would basically add up to a 30" tire and 4.10's

With 275/50 17s, the 3.73s would put you closest to 4.10s with 31" tires

yep i hear those 4.88's work well also,

if not definatly get out of those 3:42's, anything numerically above that is better.
