Default Gear shop in B.R. La.

I am wanting to swap out my 3.23 gears for 3.73 or 3.90 gears. I called a shop today and they wanted $900 for the gears and installation with all lubricants and shims etc... Is this a good price or about average? The price totally caught me by surprise. I was expecting about $600-$700. Let me know of any good shops around in the Baton Rouge area.

Zimmer Gears (probably the ones that quoted you that price)
Futral Motorsports (< $150 labor + price of gears & install kit)

Wow did that price include adding a posi? I just bought Yukon 4.10s, TrueTrac and master install kit for $630 shipping included from Ron's Machine on Ebay...

The price wasnt including a locker. It was L&S off of Jefferson. I heard they were good. I forgot about Zimmer. Me and Dustin used to hang out some. I need to try and get in touch with him. Where is Futral Motorsports? They did a good job?

Futral is in Walker.

L&S did mine, I supplied everything. I couldn't be happier, Vince is a great guy.

I heard good things about L&S and Vince was very helpful. I told him I wanted 3.73 but he suggested for me to put 3.90 since I put the taller tires with 20's. I will call Futral and check their prices.
