I am wanting to swap out my 3.23 gears for 3.73 or 3.90 gears. I called a shop today and they wanted $900 for the gears and installation with all lubricants and shims etc... Is this a good price or about average? The price totally caught me by surprise. I was expecting about $600-$700. Let me know of any good shops around in the Baton Rouge area.

if ur getting a whole like posi or locking unit that seems alright. But if thats just for ring and pinion thats a little hi for my taste. Im gonna do it myself with my dad or a buddy of mine. I recommend knowing someone in the biz, its always nice

The price wasnt including a locker. It was L&S off of Jefferson. I heard they were good. I forgot about Zimmer. Me and Dustin used to hang out some. I need to try and get in touch with him. Where is Futral Motorsports? They did a good job?

I heard good things about L&S and Vince was very helpful. I told him I wanted 3.73 but he suggested for me to put 3.90 since I put the taller tires with 20's. I will call Futral and check their prices.
