Default Gear Selection help!!

I want to put gears in my truck, but not sure which size to run that will give me the best results. I was thinking of some 3.90's. Right now I have 3.42's. I heard from some people that 3.73's weren't enough and that 4.10's are too much.

I have experienced from going to a 3:42 to 3:73's and I really was able to tell a difference between the two. But 3:73's are very good for a all around gear.

Either go with 3:73's or 4:10's. If you're looking for performance wise I would also say go with 4:10's!

Yeah. The thing that i've been told is that if your running all motor then 4.10's are what you're looking for, but if your running nitrous then 3.73's or 3.90's are optimal choice.

4.10's are perfectly fine for Nitrous, between 3.90's and 4.10's you are only talking about approx. 300 rpm's difference at 100 mph. Go with the 4.10's.

Stick with 3.73's if you're running a tire that small, you've got to remember that you're not running a dragrace-only truck and you still need economy on the highway.

Just my .$02

Well those are just for the race then ill take them off and put my street tires back on which are like 28.5" i think. I don't do a lot of highway driving anyways.
