Default which gear 4.11 or 4.30

hey guys, tryin to decide on which gear would be best for the truck. tried using the gear calculators on the net but no luck. it is a daily driver and does see quite a bit of highway driving. current setup is in my sig, its does have the crappy 3.23's on it now, and im rolling on 31.9" rubber. i do plan on dropping the tire size when i buy the next set to a 275/[B]4[B]5 20 so that will shorten it a bit. right now my shift points are set at 6700rpm, and im not shiftin outa 2nd a wot till 114 mph. was thinkin either a 4.11 or 4.30. ohh it does get factory wheels and tires put on every winter which are a 265/70/17

If your dropping down to a 30" tire I would say 4.10s.

A buddy of mine has similar truck and setup minus the tb converter and he has 4.10 with 31.2" tire and loves it. I tried to talk him into getting 4.30 but didnt want to cuz he dd it. I swapped from 3.73 to 4.56 with 30" tire and love it. I also dd at 70 I turn 2500 rpm. I would go for the 4.30 since you probably drive farther than me but your tire is taller too.

As low as you can without getting butt hurt over highway cruising speed...

with 456s 30" tire you should be 2400-2500 rpms cruising at roughly 70 mph
if your worried about gas mileage then have your tune setup for it

thanks for the info guys, 2400 rpm at 70mph sounds pretty good. not REAL worried about fuel mileage but deff dont wanna be gettin 9 mpg either. i want something that is gunna be semi decent for DD but is still gunna get my 60ft down at the track. my time is sacrificing BIG time from a 2.8 60ft. sounds like a 4.30 is what i need.

check that! seems a 4.30 gear is $100 higher to a comparitive 4.10 gear so went with the 4.10's. maybe my 60 ft time will improve a little bit now
