g80 to true trac
#1
i searched but didnt find the info i was looking for. i was wondering what parts it would take to swap my g80 for a true track and replace the 3.73 with 4.10. i know i need the ring and pinion and the diff unit, but do i need to replace spider gears and stuff.

But if you don't know what you are doing I wouldn't be trying to slap those things in by yourself. Unless you are prepared to possibly listen to to your gears howl. It's not as simple as just a bolt in job. You have to set the proper backlash, preload and gear mesh pattern or your gears will likely sound terrible and have a reduced lifespan.
