Default The g80 monster got me.......

Well, I was pulling my truck into the garage tonight, before i pulled in, i gave it a quick powerbrake, well, the right tire spun, and the driverside sounded like it was spinning, but it wasnt, just a spinning grinding noise.... o i have a couple of questions, my brother has a 86 silverado with a 12bolt, fully built, c-clip elim, 4.10s, etc., would this rear swap out? or if i order a trutrac, what all would i need? im goin to keep my 3.73's. Thanks, Chris

It won't just bolt in, but you could cut off the old spring perches and shock mounts, and weld new ones on.

Also not gonna be able to put those 3.73's in that 12 bolt.

Oh, I get it. Yeah, if it were me, I'd say keep your 10 bolt, get the Trutrac and new bearings, ARP studs, and TA girdle. Plenty strong.

another strange problem, its gotten a little chilly here, and my truck has been sitting for 2 days untouched, when i started it up, it idled very rough, and the engine light flashed, after a few minutes it disappeared, along with the rough idle, what gives?
