Default G80 1 Wheel Peel

ok..I went 1 wheeling today in my truck with a g80...anyone think a fluid change might buy me a little more life out of the g80 before it needs replacement?

G80's are NOT true lockers. The G80 locks up both wheels when you are going 20 MPH or less. You will spin 1 tire all day long if you are going faster than 20 MPH. This is why the G80 is not popular with performance enthusiasts. Oh well, I think you have a good excuse anyways to get an Eaton or Auburn.

I thought the G80 locks up when it notices a 150 rpm difference in the tires and then dissengages when over 20mph??

G80 will disengage on a torque drop over 20 mph. i.e. a shift or letting up on the throttle.
