I pulled the high pressure hose off my truck and decided to run some carb cleaner through the line and you would be suprised how black the crap that was coming out was. My truck has 113k on it.

if you're looking for the ease in operation, then no. Only if you change out the pump to a higher torque output.

swapping out the fluid is best. A flush of any kind, at any service place usually means that they're using old oil and mixing it with yours and others and more new stuff, and ya ya ya ya

The best way to flush or change the system out is to suck the reservoir, add new fluid and do the side to side to clear the lines, and replace the fluid again until it's clear.

I've done this 2-3 years back. Noticed a difference, I don't recall much. I vaguely remember it did clear up some pump noise. I do know that I have not had a problem with the pump or hydroboost.
