BOTH are great company's, have a great product. I went performabuilt, due to them being closer, having a great sale at the time of my purchase, also they are close to me.. Not a prob yet.. Top notch tranny's and customer service..

Honestly, I do believe one is better than the other. Like stated above... All your going to hear is the + things on each company by doing it this way in a thread.

I suggest you do some searching.
Mainly on LS1tech.. (A larger amount of purchasers from each company)

Try using queries like: Like (Performabuilt issues) or (FLT issues) etc.
Doing this will alow you to see the problems with the above builders and how they fixed them.

In my opinion, customer service is great and is definitely needed... But, if a company must market it first before their product that must mean that the customer is needing alot of customer service after the purchase...(generally speaking)

I know for a fact that if I order a FLT unit, it will do what it is advertised to do.

I know that I wont have to pull it out after a couple thousand miles and send it back to have it fixed because it will be right the first time.

I went with Performabuilt. I have had some problems, BUT REST ASSURED, FRANK WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU WITHOUT A BLINK OF AN EYE. Thank you Performabilt, couldnt ask for better customer service so far. Wish I could tell you more about FLT, but I havent had the pleasure of doing business with them.

i also know for a fact i wont have to pull my performabuilt out after a couple thousand miles as it was built right the first time, it has 13k miles on it, and 30 + passes, helped my ecsb get into the 11's more than a hand full of times!!!! oh yeah this is a 4l60e pushing 440 + to the wheels alongt with alot of other trucks going deep into 12's and 11's with there FLT!! it all works out just depends on who can fullfill your needs the quikest i guess

Agreed, I popped my trans(my truck is a DD), and Frank had my "Invincible" Level 3 4L65E at my front door within a week.......FLT told me there was a 5 week wait. Don't get me wrong, both companies have a badass product!

So far I am more than pleased with my Performabuilt trans and Frank's customer service......
