we just stuck an FLT stage 3 in my buddies Z28, its badass! he cant remember the HP rating but after talking to the guys about what mods he had and planned on doing with the car (heads/cam/full bolt-ons/150 shot of N2O/4,000stall) they assured him that it would hold up to the task. he said to check the website for the ratings?

A level 3 in a car is a big differance compared to a level 3 in a truck.
The level 5 is good for 500whp in a truck according to Chuck and Vince.

Would love to do a 5 but it is just a tad more then I really would like to spend. I don't think I am going to be putting 500hp to the wheels with a full bolt on heads an cam 6.0.. I might just have to go for there 4.. Also I didn't see any hp specs on there page.. Thanks JOHN

A level 4 would do you just fine.So long as you don't start spraying on it.

WTF I might just have to spring for the L5 tranny, as I plan to spray between 100-25 shot down the road way

If you ahve a heads/cam full bolt on 6.0 in there and then spray a 100-125 shot your gonna be over 500hp to the ground.
The level 5 is good for 500hp to the ground on a constant basis so spraying n2O won't hurt it if your over by a lil bit.
They test the trannies and at about 600hp to the wheels stuff starts to break very often.500 is more than a safe number on level5 build and i woudn't think a little over would hurt if it's just some spray here and there.

Yah I was guessing around 450ish to the wheels on the spray, but if i go and get the 3 0r 4 and they puke then I would just have been better off getting the 5 in the first place. The spray will only be there for when it really counts or track time, other then that it will be my eye candy.. lol

Question

If I will be putting down 525hp to the wheels, will the FLT level 5 65E hold up to it?
That's about 650+hp at the fly.
Are they rated for 500 bhp or rwhp?
