He says they are good for 500whp.At 600whp it's just a matter of how long before something breaks.

I'm saying my motor will be producing 650HP+ at the flywheel. The set-up I have will produce about 525hp at the rear wheels.
So it should hold fine then if it's rated at 500 rear wheel hp.
Right?

Looking at what touch said if they are putting 500whp to them and they are holding you should be fine.. Also what all are or will you have done to make that kind of power?

Secret
Curious huh?
I guess it's right. Considering a 25% driveline loss in power, 525RWHP should equal about 656 BHP (base or flywheel HP).
Right or wrong about my guesstimates??

Allen Nelson at Nelson Performance (site sponsor) has a package set-up for me that he's been using that gets most of his LQ9 6.0 customers into that zone.

4L65E, 2-piece steel drive shaft, the 10.5" 14 bolt G80, and the factory 20" wheels with 275/55/20 tires robs the goods a bit.
I'm not sure on the percentage that the driveline soaks up, but I know it's more than 20%.

Or you could throw a stock 80e in there and never have to worry about it again for half the cost

Price of a stock 80E........yes, but after you add up all the conversion parts, I'm sure it will get up there in cost.
I don't see why Vinces Level 5 65E wouldn't hold.
Hell, the stock 65E will have to hold out for the abuse for a while anyways! No more funds for a built trans right now.
Have to focus on getting the rest of the engine/ tranny mods right now.
Will also have to try and find a spare vehicle to drive for about a month to even start on the engine mods.........

im going to run the stock 80e, but my harness is already setup for it, and so it wont be that much for conversion costs. i didnt know a stock 80e was THAT awesome. makes me feel ok to shell out the dough for something thats gonna hold up(supposedly).
