shifters for a 700r4 should work shouldn't they??
do most come with all the parts to hook to the trans??
what did you do with your stock shifter?? can it come out??
make a switch for the tow haul??

reason why im thinking of doing this is because i broke my stock linkage tryin to get the 13mm nut off the linkage on the trans..

i think the 700r4 shifter should work

i think you will need to get a manual trans steering column cover to eliminate the hole the old shifter left

if you dont have a built trans trans you will need to put a toggle switch somewhere for tow/haul

i think most will come with all parts but when ordering they will tell what they come with

pm or search for silverwhistler he did a console shifter b&m quicksilver i think
he put his in a custom built fiberglass console which also held a sub
i saw someone else who had one in an ext. cab console where the cupholers used to be looked very clean, i want to say 2toneblown or blacksheep

i used to have a shifter like the top one you posted in my mustang. That shifter was really nice, It could definately take a beating and i love the Rachet action. I used to have a B&M that was a pile of **** and it ended up breaking, the whole damn shifter arm just came out of the console.

 

floor shifter..im going to pull the seat out and mount my bottle back between the seats and mount my shifter there also..

 

Just throw it out and drop the six speed in.
