Default Flexplate spacing problem

I bought the TCI flexplate from Speed Engineering and the bolt holes don't match up the Hughes converter I bought. The flexplate bolt pattern has a smaller diameter than the pattern on the Hughes converter. Are there different ones? Who gave me the wrong part? Hughes or SE?

Just measured - flexplate hole diameter is 11", converter hole diameter is 11.5"

I called Hughes too and they told me I got something that was spaced for a 4L60E converter.

Hopefully the dealer carries the correct flexplate - just got word that the tranny came in this morning so I am headed out to pick that up in a few minutes, I'd like to be able to get all this together today

Just dropped in my stroker, with TCI # 399753 plate. Bolt circle in plate is smaller than the converter. If the answer I'm getting is correct, Jeg's, Summit, and most everybody else selling these are not bothering to tell anybody that they do not work with the 4l80e. Supposedly, the 80e has a 11.5" bolt circle at the converter, and is different than all others. Maybe you got the same screwin' as me.

Sounds like it. I ended up buying a stock 4L80E flexplate from the dealer and returning the TCI flexplate to Speed Engineering.

I measured as well, and the TCI flexplate that I got was 11" diameter bolt pattern, and the correct one for the 4L80E was 11.5", which seems to be the standard for the 6 bolt 4L80E converter.
