That is strange. I was thinking that rotating the spring by lowering the rear hanger moved the pin alignment enough to put it on the opposite side of the axle centerline so I threw it in autocad and rotated it. The 2" rear hanger drop didn't move the pin alignment enough to make a significant difference. Here is the illustration...


btw... nice work on the suspension. Makes me want to get out and finish mine. I am curious to hear the final results on ride comfort and traction improvement.

 

Nice job Corey!! I really like the stance, it's perfect the way she sits! Kinda happy about it sticking now too, spinning at 80 mph is fun but after the 3-4th time it gets old.


As far as your exhaust...you could go out the side of the bed.

 

It's actually a 5" rear drop since you only altered the rear mounting points of the leaf springs. That's why the truck is sitting level. 0/2, 2/4, 4/6, etc... dropped trucks all still have a bit of rake to them.

It's a good thing it turned out the way it did though, because it looks perfect. Nice job!

That is exactly the stance I would like mine to have eventually. Did you use axle shims or did you weld new perches? If axle shims, how many degrees? Thanks!
