Finally dropped it... but now have issues.

If you're flip kit brackets had the offset hole for the leaf spring pin, you shouldn't have to shorten the driveshaft. I'd say its the driveline rubbing on either the cab, or the gas tank crossmembers. If its that, you could either notch the crossmembers or have them raised. I'll be raising my gas tank when I redo my notch form more travel.

its gonna be ur driveshaft hitting the gas tank crossmember or the bottom of your cab...

i broke my driveshaft wit that reason!!

It ended up being the pinion angle. The driveshaft was rubbing on the crossmember.

Right now, we put in 2* shims and that helped a ton. However, I need a little more for it to be "just right".

Perhaps 4* might fix it completely?

I'm going to *guess* that 4* will probably do it, but if you get an adjustable protractor from a hardware store, you can check it to be sure

be careful with those driveshafts after they have been rubbing on something......they are thin wall piles of ****.

This is true... I can only speculete that is what contributed to mine failing.


Here is the new ECSB two piece installed and I havn't had any problems so far.

two piece is the only way to go on these CCSB trucks....especially if you drop it.
