Default Finally doing Brakes...have a few questions

I had been putting off doing my brakes until I absolutely needed it, well that time is here. I think my front pads have crystallized and are causing stress cracks in my front rotors. They are very tiny, but with the right light at the right angle they are visible.

I scored a deal on Delco Durastop pads and rotors for all 4 wheels and a goodridge stainless line kit. I'm going to flush and refill the system with ATE super blue.

This isn't my first brake job, but I've never done a line replacement. Are there any extra precautions I should take as to avoid air in the system, or just remove the old and replace with the new?

I've been reading threads back to '05 looking for a direct answer, but no luck on my part. My search foo is weak.

Thanks.

Try to keep the master cylinder as full as possible during the whole thing; you dont want it sucking in air at any point. Start with the line furthest away from the master cylinder.

Basically the the same as if I were bleeding. My brother is going to help so I think one of us will swap the line while the other handles the rotors and pads.

Here is the plan. I can get to all of the rear lines and bleeders without removing the wheels. I going to do the front rotor and pad change, swap out the 3 rear lines, then both front lines and bleed the system. Then I will worry about changing the rear rotors and pads. Sound alright?

I just found out this is going to be a one man job, so this should be interesting.

Well, had an interesting day.

Got the rotors and pads done on all 4 corners, but had an issue on the lines. There was a steady drip where the hard line meets the flex line, with the stainless lines installed. I also discovered that one of the bleeders in rounded off. Thanks a lot to whoever had the truck before me.

Any ideas as what I'm doing wrong with the stainless lines? I had that issue on the rear, and just decided to screw it for now and got the pads and rotors done. Still need to do a complete fluid exchange, which I'm going to knock out in the morning with some ATE Super Blue.
