Sounds interesting, I'd like to see this !

 

Here it is... the mounting tabs bolt right up to the inside (inbetween frame rails) bumper mounts. The cradle sits just inside the bumper and extends back to right in front of the crossmember where the front of the plastic "skid" tray mounts. The fan will draw "cool" air in from the front/bottom of the A/C Condensor / Rad assembly and exhaust it to the pavement. When at speed there should be plenty of air deflected off of the condensor to feed down to the cooler. I'll post pics after the install as well... and provide feedback.

Assuming the positioning of this cooler works out well it will leave open plenty of room to upgrade the heat exchanger...

yep, Home Depot steel,my trusty MIG welder, and a rattle can of gloss black

... because the cooler will be mounted low I'm thinking about some steel screen to keep the rocks out. Arizona is real bad for loose gravel on roads... especially with all the growth/construction. My windshield can atest to that...

Looks pretty cool, are you going to fab up some kind of screen to protect the cooler from debris?

 

Yes, probably will make a screen for it... although it is more or less out of the way.

Nice!!! Those hard tube adapters work ok, huh? Is there any torque spec on tightening the adapter to the hard tube? I'm using some to plumb my oil cooler lines for my 34" rad

 

They work great. Guys were talking about them here : https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=382633 So I picked some up and installed them. I like the way they do not reduce inside diameter... allowing unobstructed flow. Not sure about torque specs on them. I probably went 1/4 turn past snug. That seems to seat the brass insert on the pipe well enough. I figured I would try them in attempt to leave the radiator in the loop. We'll see how that works for awhile...
