Default Extending tranmission cooler lines

I'm trying to avoid using rubber hose and hose clamps to extend my tranny cooler lines. What size tubing is the factory stuff? Would a couple of these work? Then use a -6 line to join the ends.

Trans lines are 3/8" I believe......and those look like they will work.

Is there any way to avoid using rubber hose on my trans cooler while using the tru-cool cold weather bypass? Is it even worth it to use the thing?

3/8 brake line w/3/8 brass compression fittings will work fine....if you are going this route, make sure to have a tubing cutter and a good tubing bender....

My suggestion above will work in place of the rubber hose.....don't use the cold weather bypass, it doesn't open up until 180*, way too hot IMO....

Use the rear line from a 2500 suburban. It's a direct bolt in to the 1500 factory cooler and 4l80e

The lines on these trucks are not 3/8. They are a metric size more like 5/16. Vince
