Default E-locker???

when i put my silverado in 4wd, the rear end is like a spool. automatically. in 2wd, it functions like a good posi unit. whats going on here? is this the way the factory lsd works or is this something aftermarket? this bitch is LOCKED in 4wd, if i turn it on dry pavement it skips like a maniac. is there any way i can tell whats going on with it?

My truck feels the same way. The transfer case has a viscous coupling in it which acts like a limited slip for the front to rear bias which makes it fell like that.

its not the rear thats doing it its the front. it is normal for a 4x4 to act that way on dry pavement. thast why you are only supossed to use 4wd on wet surfaces. if the front wheels cant slip on turns it will feel like the front end is binding or crow hopping. again this is normal. theres actually an information bulletin on this from GM.
