Drum brake swap for rear bogarts

out of them . with drums you can get deep offset 15"s that bolt right up.

The guys you speak of are running a race only style rim that is not suited to deal with the open road and the bumps, holes and debris you may run over. They also had to swith to blazer calipers and grind the ever loving

Most of us that are stuck on 15's are that way because we want maximum sidewall and we want the HUGE selection of drag tires availible in 15" . 16" would be ok, but you will still have to swap calipers and grind to fit a street/strip wheel with a large offset like a 16X10 with a 6.5" backspace.

think I'm goin to run 17inch hoosiers 28x10 there a full slick and they have the same compound as the 15s which is the D06 the 16s have the C07 which isn't as soft i know a few guys running them on camaros and there pulling 1.6 60FTs.

17" slicks should get you 1.6X's 60' times with no problem. I cut low 1.6's on used 28/10/15's on 8.5" wheels (obviously not ideal) at a local track that is not known for hooking.

theres also a guy on here by the name darkblue5.3 thats cutting 1.5 60fts with the 17inch hoosiers and bogarts on a RCSB 2WD

I tried this with no success. Pattern where backing plate bolts up was rotated 45* and wheel cyl sat at 3 oclock. Finally rotated rear end housing to bleed and rear brakes hardly worked. Wouldn't hold back enough to spool my turbo.
