Default Drop Leaf Questions & Opinions

First off I was wondering if the leaf springs for a ext cab and a crew cab are the same length? I found ext cab drop leafs online, but none for a crew cab??

I cant make up mind between a 2/4, or 2/5! I like the 2/4 but want a little more in the rear to level it out. I have about 1" rake and I want it to sit perfectly level, or close. Even with 0 up front and shackles in the back I was about 1" high. At one point I had a front level +2" and it wasn't level either. FWIW: There is not blocks back there!

I was thinking of a flip kit but not sure how to achieve a 5" drop? Most flips are 4 or 6 inch IIRC. My other option was trying to level it with drop leafs, but I don't know much about them, or if they even work on a crew cab?

Any advice, opinions, or recommendations would be awesome!

Facts: The rear is getting notched regardless of what drop I get. Even with the ghetto drop I have back there now it totally bottoms out, and I hate it! I will be getting new shocks, and new 275/45/20s

Current ghetto drop: Front - Cut stock springs. Stock 33.50" on a 275/55, After being cut 31.50" on the same tire... Rear - Shackles and rear leaf removed. Stock 36.50" on a 275/55. Shackles added and leaf removed 32.50" on the same tire. Fender measurements PF31.50, DF31.50 PR32.50 DR32.25... Cant wait to get an actual drop kit!!

Thanks

It's easier to do a flip with a 2in raised shackle. That would give you 4in drop in the back.

Front is up to you. Springs/spindles or control arms are the usual routes people take.

I did a flip kit, notch and an add a leaf to end up at ~4.5" drop in the rear.

Flip kit with proper notches is the best way to go for sure.

Thanks for the replies... Ill look into a flip kit a little more. I saw the djm makes a 5" drop, so I may look into that. Maybe a 2/5 will sit level, or if anything a tad of cali.

IMO stay away from drop leafs. i know two people not including myself whose drop leafs started sagging over time. mostly on the drivers side. mine is starting to do the same thing. i would suggest a flip kit, then adjust the height with different length shackle like stated above
