Retains factory like ride, retains stock towing capacity, includes notch (which with 5" you are probably going to want to do anyways), and cheaper or used to be when I was looking way back when.

IMO, use a flip kit and a lifting shackle for the back. If the times comes and you want to go lower, and it will come, remove the shackle and it will take you down an inch. For the front I would use either 3" lcas or a 2" spindle and 1" coil.

yes, he means notcing the frame.

i have 3" front springs, 4" rear springs, 2" shackles and aftermarket overloads so mine sits around a 3/5 and needed to be notched, it was hitting frame over every little bump i hit

Yep, notch the frame. The kits are bolt in and plenty strong. Some people choose to weld them, but its not necessary. You will need a cutoff wheel or sawzall to cut the frame though. You do it after you have flipped the axle and make sure to support it in front of the notch and behind it before cutting. Only do one side at a time.

Since you mentioned blocks, just thought I would let you know that if you put blocks on before flipping the axle, you will raise the truck since the fullsize trucks have the axle under the leaf spring. Once flipped and the axle is above the leaf spring, a block will lower it.

Don't have a pic of my flip kit, but just imagine the axle on top of the leaf instead of under it.

Yep, you'll still have to notch it. Once you go down more than 4" (on the 99-07's at least), the axle gets very close to the frame and will make contact over bumps. Alot of guys go down 4" in the rear and get by without a notch, but usually end up with the axle hitting the frame from time to time.
