Exclamation Driveshaft for GMC seirra 2003 with a possie Eaton

I need help on what would be the best for my application. I had a shaft to twist into on my 2003 4x2 short bed. I would like to know if anyone who has added some real horsepower to their truck had the same problems. Also what type of shaft would be the best?

get a steel drive shaft, Steel has a greater density and will be much harder to "twist"
stock Aluminum on the other hand is not too safe over 100MPH

DLH, just wanted to point out that it's not the aluminum that is the problem at higher speeds, it is the length that is unsafe at higher speeds. The only way GM could make the long 72" driveshafts was to use AL because steel woudl have a lower resonance speed than the AL one. Even the AL one, combined with the factory balance, is only good not much past 100. All in all though, for a shorter shaft where critical speed isn't as much of an issue, steel will be stronger.

it might be a little off topic, but since i dropped my truck and put in the carrier bearing relocation bracket that looked really iffffyyy, i really wanted to know if anyone makes or can make a 1 piece drive shaft for the ec/cc trucks. I hate the two piece, and with my shift kit i really worry about that carrier bearing bracket being aligned perfectly and how it's bolt in is really chinsy.
