And yea my truck guy says 100 mph + is a no-no With fact alum shafts LOL ..Who knew?? M tryin get a steel one at this moment

need 83 1/2" center of u-joint to center of u-joint.... place in baton rouge says he wont do one pc steel for safety reasons n i was like REALLY? i just blew off the aluminum one no way a steel one wud do same huh? .. stock shaft was one pc aluminum...if i get 2-pc steel i need hanger bracket installed since there is none on my 08...any one know if 1 pc steel that long is really a hazard?? or its just matter of weight on that span of 83 1/2" ??

Pics up ... yoke on axle is still in it but u-joint is shattered off of it ... never found that part...

Any sponsors here or recommendations from sponsors where to get hi-speed balanced aluminum one pc shaft replacement for my broke one? i've found Driveshaft Specialties of Texas in San Antonio. HD heat treated all in one replacement.

Older trucks used steel and were good for as far as you could push the truck. the trick is finding close enough shaft length.
Did you drag race the truck or do burnouts often?

I just replaced my OEM aluminum shaft with OEM steel. 99-06 rclb used aluminum rcsb used steel and is about half the diameter.

Nope no burnouts torque management crap on and doesnt give power to(will change that soon wit tune)... And drag racing i have but i have done nuttin to shock the drive train this hawg dont have nuttin on dig run .. Ive planned on gettin more power for stronger take offs but theres nuttin that special to have twisted the shaft .. It never gave warning

Ordered HD Aluminum driveshaft ... thicker walled shaft that does not taper from 5"-4" like the stock ones do .. 5" all the way thru... Driveshaft Specialties says thats the weak link and it is the exact part that blew apart on one end of mine...
