Default doestch tech shocks

i purchased these shocks but im not sure which way are suppose to go in. Is the chrome shaft suppose to be on the bottom of the top on the rear shocks?

Shaft goes up.

the shocks actually feel like they give a better ride than the stock ones do. the only thing i dont like about my drop is the ocassional scrape on the pavement at steep inclines and big *** speed bumps. I DO RECOMMEND THE SHOCKS!!!!!
