Since we are on the subject has anyone tried the 5 or 6 speed conversion for the 4L80?? Wondering if it is worth the $700 for the extra gears

I agree.

Very rough numbers.

$1000 refreshed 4l80e.
$200 shift kit
$900 TCI low first gear.

$2100 vs $4000+ for a 4l60e level billion build.
