Default differences in 2003-2006 4l60e?

Hi guys

I have a 2004 5.3l motor that i want to put in an older truck. Im thinking about getting a 2wd 4l60e, but didnt know if there were any subtle differences between the years (2003-2006) that would require wiring change or programming changes.

Do you know if they are all the same or if there are any differences?

thanks!

I helped someone put an 06 transmission in an 01 and everything went right together. No tuning changes or wiring splices.

The differences are internal to the transmission. You will never see it or notice the difference.

As mentioned you will be just fine between those years.
