I think the true trac is a pretty decent unit. The trans didnt survive through all this but the rear end did.

I get made fun of cause i have a 12 second truck and i go mud riding in it and off road some..
Goin back to our usual bonfire spot at my buddys farm, we had a tree fall across the road so we made an alt. route. lets just say i made it and some ford 4x4s didnt cause their open differentials.
if your easy on the throttle it will push you right over.. i even drug my traction bars across the hill.

Here is what the trutrac looks like, basically it is completely solid. The opening you see in the pics, is the only opening on the case, but it has a cover that covers it up once it is installed... IMO you gotta have some serious power to break on....

i was one of the very first ones here on pt.net to buy a tru trac, its been 3yrs now and its still kicking, never seen one fail to-date in the forum (which everyone here abuses their trucks)..... i know i have close to 200 track passes on mine (it not more) and i would strongly recommend it...

the only person that "thought" had broken one was a member on here "fossil", ended up being that he put synthetic oil which he was NOT suppose to do, after he changed the oil it all worked again...
