crush sleeve or solid spacer?

I vote for a solid sleve. They're stronger, thus allowing the pinion bearings to stay put.
As for setup: measure your old crush sleeve (with calipers). Then add shims to the solid spacer to match it. The solid spacer should come with a shim kit. Installing the pinion nut is easier too since the torque is more predictable/constant.
