Default Couple Brake questions

I just got a set of calipers and mount brackets off a 06 Silverado to upgrade my fronts. My front rotors are 12" and now I will be able to run 13" with the new calipers.

What I would like to know is what everyone using for rotors and pads. Right now I have Powerslot rotors and Hawks LTS pads, they work but I am just checking to see what everyone has used and prefers. I dont care about pad life. Only stopping power and dust.

I am going to do braided stainless lines (Goodridge) and upgrade the front brakes. My truck already has the larger rear rotors and twin pistons in rear so I am going to focus on front. Goodridge is the only company that makes a line kit for my setup so I dont have any options there. Let me know what you got and how you like it.

I have the SSBC Three piston calipers, 14" slotted rotors, and braided lines front and rear. Good stuff, fair pricing, good customer service. The BEST thing to do when doing any brake upgrade is to get a dealer to do the "automated bleed procedure" to the ABS unit. Makes a HUGE difference. Unfortunately, I think you can only use a TechII to do it.

Pat, I'll be back in town this weekend, I want to see your new pieces.

Bill, get ahold of me when you get home. I briefly looked at SSBC, but if I go to a 14" rotor I cant run my 17" anymore. As for the bleed, i already checked into that.

I upgraded mine to the SSBC slotted rotors and pads combo. The rotors look great even though they are still stock size. Im not to happy with the pads. Ill want to try the green stuff and yellow stuff pads by EBC. I hear great results with thoughs pads! Its almost like the SSBC pads need to be warm before they start grabbing. (have any of you guys experienced this?)

The braided lines made a big difference in pedal feel. Now it feels like they should and not like stepping on a tomato.
